About Me

I was born in Wellington and have grown up in the Hutt Valley. I live here with my husband and our three large and lovely rescue dogs, Max, Marty and BooBoo.

I like to keep active and enjoy walks/runs with my dogs, swimming in the ocean and dancing. I love to dance and still take classes regularly. On the weekends I like to spend time with my family and friends or I spend time volunteering at an animal sanctuary.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Victoria University where I majored in Psychology and German. I also hold a Bachelor of Counselling degree from the Wellington Institute of Technology. I'm currently a provisional member of the NZAC (New Zealand Association of Counsellors) and as such adhere to their code of ethics.

My background is in mental health and the disability sector. These days I work in a mental health day service/creative space as well as facilitating workshops on mental health and my work in private practice. I'm passionate about my work and it brings me a lot of joy.
